Our dear mother, Agnes B (Kennedy) Quinn, sadly passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 86. She was immensely loved and will be terribly missed. Agnes was a 30+ year resident of Indianapolis, having moved here with her husband in December of 1991. Agnes was born on February 28, 1936, in Queens NY. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert J, parents James and Marion Kennedy, stepmother Emily, sister Marion Luckman and brother Raymond Kennedy. Agnes is survived by her three children Denise Rohde (Glenn), of Floral Park NY, Joan Scott (Randy), of Port Charlotte FL, and Mark Quinn (Laura), of Levittown NY.
Agnes gave selflessly to anyone in need. Agnes’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her loving family. Agnes had 8 grandchildren: Steve (Vanessa), Danielle, Bridget, Matthew, Jason, Ryan, Kelsey & Mackenzie. She also had 6 great-grandchildren, Alicia (in heaven), Kerissa, Aryanna, Rob, Paul & Anthony. Agnes was born into a large close-knit family, having 7 siblings. She is survived by 4 older siblings and one younger. Agnes had 23 nieces & nephews and countless great nieces and nephews. We all learned how to love and care for each other by growing up as part of the Kennedy family.
Agnes had many friends both in NY and in IN. Agnes graduated in 1954 from Bishop McDonnell high school in Queens NY. She was still in contact with classmates from both high school and St Clement Pope grammar school.
If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the following: Friday, September 23rd from 4-8 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, 5950 E Thompson Road, Indianapolis IN 46237. Funeral mass at 11 am on Saturday, September 24th, at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis IN 46239. Burial immediately following mass at Orchard Hill (New Bethel) Cemetery, 8946 Southeastern Ave, Wanamaker IN 46239.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Down Syndrome Society or Riley Children’s Hospital.
