Anna May Reeves

July 27, 1933 - August 8, 2022

On Monday, August 8, 2022, Heaven gained another Angel. Anna May Reeves went to be with her heavenly Father and join all her loved ones who had gone before her.

Born Anna May Shannon on July 27, 1933 to Lowell and Mary Shannon, in Belmont, OH. On August 28, 1954, she married her one true love, Elmer Reeves. She cherished being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She loved cooking for and spending time with family and friends. No one entered or left her house without a hug. She always said, “Everyone can use a hug.” She enjoyed making everyone feel welcome and loved. Anna also enjoyed reading and working cross word and word search puzzles.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; 4 brothers-in-law; and 1 sister-in-law.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David (Cherie) Reeves and Greg (Jill) Reeves; daughters, Karen (Chris) Core and Lora (Mike) Shepherd; grandchildren, Amanda, Brandi, Brittany, Sydney, Matthew, and Jarod; great-grandchildren, James, Xander, Courtney and Autumn; numerous nieces and nephews; and 2 sisters-in-law.

oh my, I am so very sorry to hear this news... I am Cathy, I lived up the road and spent Many days and nights at your house..I think of your Mom often, in fact I was just by our old neighborhood today and thought about her... Let me add to the obituary, it was not ONLY hugs she gave but MUCH love.. I ate there I slept there, when I was sick I slept in the recliner in the front room and she would get up and check on me.. I sure did love and admire you guys for having such a GREAT Mom.. take care of yourselves and hold on to ALL the great memories
