Betty Jo Brown

Betty Jo Brown, 70 years old of Advance, IN, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013. She was born November 3, 1942 in Boone County, IN, daughter of the late Curtis Wethington and Selena McClandliss. Betty Jo married Alan R. Brown on June 10, 1962. He survives. She was a member of North Christian Church, Advance, IN. She worked as an accountant for Beck’s Grain for many years. Betty Jo enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting as well as gardening and fishing. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Pearson, Lora Martin, and Jodi (Terry) Pearman, sisters, Mary Jane (Don) Schooler, and Joan (Ken) Harrison, sister-in-law, Pebbles Wethington, and grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Drew Pearson, Stacey Pearson, Brittney Martin, Luke Pearson, Lance Corporal Austin Martin, and Natalie Pearman. She was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Brown, brother, Tim Wethington and granddaughter, Kayla Martin. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, August 7, 2013, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kyle Drown officiating. Burial will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
