Betty Lou Gentry

Betty Lou (Littrell) Gentry, age 95, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023. She was born on December 1, 1927 to the late Dale and Opal Littrell. She graduated from Washington High School and worked for Link Belt for several years alongside many of her family members. Betty also worked for Charlie Brockman Hallark gift shop, and dabbled in Real Estate with her best friend. She was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church, and was an avid bowler for many years. She was married to Robert F. Gentry for 60 years, and raised two children: William and David.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband: Robert F. Gentry; and son: William “Bill” Gentry.

She is survived by her son: David (Patti) Gentry; as well as her grandsons: Lorne Gentry, and Cameron Gentry.

Betty loved her family fiercely and will never be forgotten.

A visitation will take place on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Entombment will take place at Floral Park Cemetery at a later date.
