William Glen Gentry, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023, just short of his 74th Birthday on February 25, 1949, surrounded by his family.
He graduated from Washington High school, Indianapolis and served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was employed by Rolls Royce for 30 years. He was an avid Colts football fan and loved playing the slot machines at the casinos with his “Casino Buddy” brother David.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Frederick Gentry, and his wife of 27 years, the love of his life, Janice Lynn Gentry.
He is survived by his 95 year old mother, Betty Lou Gentry, brother, David (Patti) Gentry, and nephews, Lorne and Cameron Gentry.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. A private burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenwood.
