Billy Linn Beck

Billy Linn Beck, 89 of Jamestown, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 1, 1927 in Crawfordsville, IN, son of the late David and Marie (Kincaid) Beck. He was reared in Crawfordsville and Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School. Billy married Louise J. Schooler on June 4, 1948. He was a member of the Advance Community Christian Church, served on the Boone County REMC Board of Directors for 36 years and 9 years as president, director on the Wabash Valley Power Assoc., Director on Board for Witham Hospital from 1983 to 1995, member of the Elks Lodge and served on ASCS Committee. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards and being with his family. Billy was a farmer and also owned and operated Beck Grain from 1975 to 1991. He enjoyed his winter months in Florida. In addition to his wife, Louise J. Beck, he is survived by his daughter, Lynn (John “Bill”) Casey, son, Gerald “Jerry” (Peggy) Beck, grandchildren, Renee (Carol) Casey and Christopher (Danaille) Beck, great-grandchildren, Aries, Emalee, Aleena and Emberlynn and sisters, Rosemary Beck and Donna Culbertson. He was preceded in death by sister, Joyce Taylor. Family and friends will gather Friday, May 26, 2017 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Advance Community Christian Church, Advance, IN. Services will be held at the church Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating. Billy will be laid to rest in the Old Union Cemetery.
