Bonnie Ann MacDonell Prior of Greenwood passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was 80 years old. Bonnie was born on January 15, 1943, to the late Alec and Margaret MacDonell. She graduated with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Lady Cliff College, in Highland Falls, New York. She went on to teach French at Smithtown Central Highschool in Long Island, New York.
Bonnie Is survived by her husband of fifty-four years James B. Prior; son, Lt. James J. Prior of the Greenwood Police Department, and his wife Mari; grandsons, Colin and Daniel, and her sister Mary Lou Armstrong of Washington State.
Services for Bonnie will be Wednesday, September 20 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery following the service. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
