Carl Ray Calvert, age 73, born to the late Carline and Vera Pervie (Carter) Calvert on September 16, 1948 in Scottsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on July 16, 2022.

A lifelong mechanic, Carl retired as a Supervisor from IndyGo bus company.

He leaves behind his loving wife: Tracey (Hillman) Calvert; sister: Anetta (David) Lawver; brother: Richard (Laurie) Calvert; sister-in-law: Judy Calvert; children: Trina (Chris) Smith, and Tiffany (James) Vance; grandchildren: Hunter, Tanner (Kali), Gunnar (Melissa) Smith, Jayme and Chyanne Vance, Tristan Hartsock and Mattyson Calvert; 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Carolyn Anderson; brother: Clyde Calvert; and son: Josh Calvert.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 4:00 until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis.

Arrangements are in the care of Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Indianapolis Chapel.
