Carolyn Ann Norris

Carolyn Ann Norris, 67, New Ross, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Witham Memorial Hospital. She was born February 3, 1948 in Charlestown, WV, daughter of the late Delbert and Mary Marie (Boggs) Gray. Carolyn married Allen B. Norris on October 19, 1967 in Covington, VA. She owned Carolyn’s Hair Plus in New Ross for over 10 years. She loved people, helping others, cooking, canning and collecting recipes and cookbooks. She and her husband owned over 15 campers over their 47 years together. She loved camping in West Virginia. In addition to her husband, Allen Norris, she is survived by her son, Richard D. (Laura Bixler) Norris of New Ross, sister, Brenda (Tyrus) Stone, brother, Dennis (Shirley) Gray, grandchildren, Katherine Norris, and Allison (Ethan) Collins, great-grandchild, Autumn Collins and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will gather Saturday, August 29, 2015, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will follow at the funeral home, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Dennis officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest in the New Ross Cemetery.
