Catherine “Kay” Hill

Catherine (Kay) Hill, 81, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2022 after a sudden illness. She passed peacefully surrounded by her husband, children and sister-in-law, Gwen. Kay was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend to everyone, and the life of any party. But above all, she was a daughter of the Lord, whom she loved with her whole being.

Kay was born in McAlester, Oklahoma. She joins her mother and father, Tommy and Virginia Harris, her grandparents, George and Goldie Bradley, and all her family and friends who have gone ahead of her to light the way. She lived in many places, but considered South Bend, Indiana home. It is where she raised her children and was a covenanted member of the People of Praise Community.

Kay leaves behind her husband of almost 50 years, Malcolm, daughter Stacy, son Kevin (Dana), daughter Chrisa (Brett), and her beloved grandchildren Brooke (Cameron), Quinn, McKenna, Alexander and Braden. She also leaves behind her brother Tom Harris (Kerry), and their children John, Tommy Pat (Jackie) and Kara (Jymm) and her sister-in-law Gwen DeLee (John) and her children Philip (Monique), Patricia (Kelly), Michelle (Mark) and Margaret. For anyone who called her Aunt Kay, never doubt that she loved you. It seems impossible that “Grandma Pretty” has left us, but we are comforted knowing that her love was unconditional and eternal.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on July 16, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Rd., Granger, IN. Immediately following the Service there will be a luncheon and Celebration of Life at the People of Praise Community Center, 53666 N Ironwood Rd., South Bend IN 46635.
