Charlotte Ann Eller, age 82, of Greenwood, passed away November 14, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on July 6, 1940, in Indianapolis to Daniel and Mable Purdy. She adored her father, and loved dancing and music. Charlotte awoke from a massive stroke, smiling, and said she was going with God. She wanted her loved ones to know she would miss them dearly but her time on earth had expired, and she was looking forward to being with those she loved who had passed away before her.
She is survived by her children: her “baby boy” Daniel (Melody) Eller, Tammy “Crickett” (Jeff) Clements, Jerry (Giselle) Purdy, and Davey (Holly) Coffman; niece: Kimberly (Mindy); street son: Jody Lee; sisters: Lois Ellis, and Sherry; grandchildren: Delea and Terra Clements, whom she helped raise, Legacy and Chaz Parrish Eller, and Krandon Afflis, Nick, Danyelle, Kandice, Alexis, Trae, Kaleigh, and Miranda Purdy, and Timothy and Dom; as well as three great-grandchildren; and her emotional support cat: Babygirl.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents: Daniel “Dud” and Mable Purdy; brothers: Stanley “Red” Purdy; Daniel Purdy, and Jimmy Purdy; son-in-law: Terry Ramsey; grandparents: Welby and Lillie Purdy; best friend: Linda Grantham; and cousin: Margaret Payton Purdy, whom she couldn’t wait to see.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis.
