Donald C. Boyle, 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 27, 2024, after bravely battling lung disease for many years. Don was a man of great humility and boundless generosity, always putting others first and never leaving a task unfinished. His motto, often shared with his family, was to “always do your best, even when no one is watching.” A quiet servant at heart, Don generously devoted his time and talents to those around him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and mentor who led by listening and exemplified qualities of contentment, loyalty, grace, and gratitude.
Don dedicated much of his career to IMMI in Westfield, IN, where he held positions such as Director of Purchasing, Director of Quality Assurance, and General Manager of Child Products. Even after retirement, Don continued to share his expertise as a consultant for IMMI, where he played a key role in designing child safety restraints for school buses and cars. His passion for child safety led him to start his own business, where he designed safety systems and dental restraints for children with special needs. His innovative spirit earned him 12 patents, a testament to his dedication to making the world a safer place.
Don took great pride in his beautifully manicured lawn, his love for the Indiana Fever, and his deep interest in politics. He was also a devoted servant to his community, giving his time and energy to IMMI Word & Deed Foundation Board, the Moss Creek Homeowners Association Board, the Shoe Closet, and always being a helpful and kind neighbor.
Don’s loving legacy continues through his beloved wife of 63 years, Judy; his son Scott and his wife, Esther, of Belmont, NC; his daughter Suzanne and her husband, Bob Mueller, of Sheridan, IN; his seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his brothers, David and his wife, Donna Boyle and Gary Steeds.
