























































































































































































Donald Lee Griffin, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on February 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Indianapolis on March 25, 1939, Don was the son of the late Walter Griffin and Della Griffin Baxter (Fish).Don Graduated from Washington High School in 1957, and received technical training in Heating and Air-Conditioning. He was the Owner/Operator of Griffin Insulation in Beech Grove, and was a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge.Don loved adventure and had a variety of interests and talents including travel, bowling, cooking, playing the organ, and handicrafts of all sorts. He was a competitive card and game player and had a lifelong passion for fishing. But, the thing he valued most was his family. He was married 62 years to his wife, Claudia, whom he adored. He loved his family deeply and was a hands-on dad. His enormous smile, charismatic storytelling, and roaring laughter will be profoundly missed.Don was preceded in death by his son: Marty Griffin; and his brother: Larry Griffin. He is survived by his wife: Claudia Griffin (Poland); his two daughter: Brenda (Bryan) Woods of Martinsville, and Donna (Ron) Welsh of Mooresville, North Carolina; his grandchildren: Brandi (Brad) Phoenix, Brent (Jami) Woods, Nick Griffin, Carly Griffin, Dustin (Alita) Griffin, Delaney Welsh, and Greyson Welsh; his great-grandchildren: Peyton Phoenix, Hayli Phoenix, Kati Woods, Wyatt Woods, Raelynn Anderson, and Kashton Griffin; as well as his sister: Eleanor Rush.His life will be celebrated on February 14, 2022. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral & Cremation Services, 7602 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. Arrangements are in the care of Singleton and St. Pierre Funeral & Cremation Services.
