Donna L. McClellan (LeMasters) passed away on June 8th, 2022, at the age of 60. A beloved wife and mother of two daughters, Donna bravely fought back after her first stroke in 2016 with grace and courage that inspired all who knew her. We were deeply blessed to have her with us for 6 more years before a recent series of strokes caused her health to decline, and she passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Donna was born on December 28th, 1961, in Indianapolis, IN. She attended Center Grove High School (Class of 1980), where she met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Mark. Known for her warm presence, kindness, and sense of humor, Donna was described as a ‘ray of sunshine’ wherever she went. She was a longtime employee of the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI, working there until her health issues caused her retirement.
Although she was taken far too soon, Donna leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joy. Whether she was on her favorite beach in Sanibel, FL or caring for her beloved dachshunds, Donna brought a positive attitude and happiness to every day she lived. Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donald LeMasters, her parents-in-law, Charles and Helen McClellan, and a brother-in-law, Mark Carter. She is survived by her husband Mark, her daughters Chelsea and Marci, her mother Barbara, her sister Vicky, her brother Scott (Kelly), her sisters-in-law Debra Carter (Mark, deceased) and Wendy McClellan (Phil Martin) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends who are left behind to celebrate her memory.
Friends and family may call on Friday, June 17th, 2022, from 3:00 to 6:30 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Services & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main St, Greenwood, IN with a memorial service immediately following at 6:30 pm. While flowers are welcome, her family welcomes donations in lieu of flowers to Uplift Johnson County (upliftjoco.org), to benefit stroke survivors and their families.
