Dorothy Jean Vanscoyoc, 92 years old of New Ross, IN, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. She was born April 6, 1920 in Crawfordsville, IN, daughter of the late Horace and Anna Routh. She married Robert Vanscoyoc on August 24, 1940. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the New Ross Christian Church and the Golden Girls. Surviving are son, William (Charlis) Vanscoyoc of Lafayette, daughter, Carol (James) Stocks of St. Louis, MO, grandchildren, Reiny Davidson and Derek Vanscoyoc, both of Lafayette, John Friend and Branden Friend, both of Colorado, and Matthew Friend of St. Louis, MO and 9 Great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, August 17, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the New Ross Cemetery.
