Earl Jerome Powell, 70, of Whitestown, passed away November 30, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospice.Earl was born on July 3, 1949, son of the late Ovid and Theresa (Ingram) Powell. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1967 and then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.Survivors include his wife, Linda K. Lee; brothers: Terry Powell, Phillip Powell and Ted Powell, sister; Mahala Boring and several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 11am-1pm at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St. Zionsville, IN 46077. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Rd. Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
