Edwin Stacy Roark, 68, of Pittsboro, IN, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 in Brownsburg Meadows. He was born April 16, 1948 in Lebanon, IN, son of the late Lawrence and Lovinia (Wills) Roark. Ed married Linda Dawn Ohl on May 22, 1971 in Bloomsburg, PA. He was an ordained minister and pastored at Fortville Christian Church in Fortville, IN, Owensboro Christian Church in Owensboro, KY, Tulip Street Christian Church in Mitchell, IN, Monticello Christian Church in Monticello, IN, New Brunswick Christian Church in Lebanon, IN and Elizaville Christian Church in Elizaville, IN. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by his son, Nathan (Nicole) Roark of Ingalls, IN, daughter, Heather (Christopher) VanGorp of Brownsburg, brother, John (Barbara) Roark, sister, Margaret Roark, brother-in-law, Jerry Shaw and grandchildren, Matthew Roark, Caleb Roark and Alexandra VanGorp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Juliet Roark Shaw. Family and friends will gather at the New Brunswick Church of Christ, 6480 S. He was a very special person to me and he was my Grandpa. He was a very good minister and was polite to other people.

He was my grandpa and he died the day after my birthday.

Ed Roark was a friend, a trusted advisor, and a godly example to me. I am grateful that our paths crossed through business. My condolences to those Ed left behind, but I have a deep confidence that Ed is thoroughly enjoying his Heavenly reward. Blessings to all of Ed's family and friends.

Ed was a former co-worker. He was an inspiration of how to approach everyday and everyone with kindness and God's love. I pray the Lord gives you comfort in this tough time.

He was a sweet, sweet man. I only knew him briefly, but his kindness is exemplified in his daughter Heather who is one of my dear friends.

Ed was such a dear, sweet, loving saint. His legacy will live on in our hearts and memories. We are blessed to have known him and called him pastor and friend. Say hi to the Lord for us, Ed! See you again when we, too, are called home. Love you forevermore.

Edwin was a wonderful person. I knew him as a former classmate, Sunday School friend. and beloved friend and minister. When in the second grade we would walk to school together. Rest in peace with your Lord and Savior Edwin.

Ed is one of the greatest men I have ever known. He was instrumental in bringing my life to Christ. I am honored to have been part of his flock and spent time with his family these past 8 1/2 years. I am rejoicing that Ed is in Glory!

Such a kind hearted man. Couldn't have asked for a better man to stand with us when Austin and I got married. RIP sir we love you.

Ed is at the right hand of our Lord and Savior. He was a great Pastor and friend. Condolences to Linda and the kids. RIP my friend.
