Edward Chester Brunes, 76 of Lizton, IN, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Witham Hospital. He was born January 26, 1935 in Brownsburg, IN , son of the late Glendon and Velma Asher Brunes. He was a member of Pittsboro Masonic Lodge. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard. He retired from Allison Gas Turbine as a Photo Lab Supervisor and was a lifelong farmer. Surviving are his wife, Alice M. Brunes of Lizton, IN, son, Marty (Tonnya) Brunes of Lizton, IN, daughter, Carla Suzanne (Larry) Pierson of Lizton, IN, step-daughter, Anita Ray of Lizton, IN, step-son, Thomas (Leigh) Harper of Picayune, MS, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Norma (Darol) Mercer of Advance, IN, and brother John (Karen) Brunes of Lizton, IN. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan. Friends will be received at Lizton Christian Church Tuesday Nov 29th from 4:00 – 8:00pm Services will be held at Lizton Christian Church Wed Nov 30th, at 10:00am with Rev. Brenda Truax officiating. Interment will follow in the Lizton K of P Cemetery, Lizton, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made to Lizton Christian Church in lieu of flowers.
