Elbert Franklin Cook, 84 years old of Brownsburg, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. He was born April 7, 1930 in Somerset, KY, son of the late Elmer and Amanda Ellen (Brinson) Cook. Elbert was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church and the VFW of Brownsburg. He loved gardening, music, singing and drawing. He was a faithful church member. Surviving are daughter, Connie (Mike) Herring, sister, Wilma Phelps, grandchildren, Michael Herring, William Herring, Michele Herring and Sarah Stogsdill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Cook, daughter, Sharon Cook Stogsdill, siblings, Zena Cook, Mildred Cook Bray, Ruth Cook Coyler, Bertha Cook Daniel, Dora Cook Davis, Fannie Cook Snyder, Verla Cook Adams, Lillie Cook Simpson, Virginia Cook Stogsdill and Albert Cook. Family and friends will gather Monday, January 5, 2015, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor George Sievers officiating.
