Ellis M Thompson, 84 years old of Brownsburg, IN, died Monday, October 25, 2010 in Clarian West Medical Center. He was born September 29, 1926 in Bedford, IN, son of the late Joda and Bertha Dalton Thompson. He married Byrtle L Hoskins on August 28, 1948. She preceded him in death. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was an ordained minister through the Holiness Church of God in Christ. He worked as a crane operator for Bridgeport Brass for 39 years. He is survived by daughters, Crickett & Steve Shonk, Sherlia Hicks, Jo Ellen & Max Ebaugh, and son, John & Jackie Thompson, sisters, Hazel Rogers, Ina Godby, Jane Smoot, Wanda Fearnow, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Wednesday, October 27, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Deckard and Chaplain Dave Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F.
