We are deeply touched by your support, prayers and kind words as we said our earthly goodbye today. Each comment and thoughtful gift reminds us of the example Mom was to us.

Tom and Andy and families, The service today was so meaningful and showed your mother's generous spirit and commitment to God and family. She was a role model for me for many years. I watched her as you two went to college, got married, moved from Indpls. She gave you roots and wings. I tried to do same for Kirk and Keir. In the recent years I was able to interact more with her on trips to Meijers, doctor's office and ER. She was always calm, accepting and a great example for me. I loved her dearly as did many. Now she has complete peace in the presence of her Heavenly Father. I will miss her so much.

Jim and I are keeping you all in prayer. Elva made the world a better place, and while we mourn her passing, we rejoice knowing she is resting in the arms of her Savior!

I am so sorry to learn of Elva's death but she had a long life and a life of giving to others. I spent many years with her in Southport's choir and greeting her every time she was able to attend church after retiring from the choir. I will be working and unable to attend the service but will be remembering her and thinking of her family at that time. Blessings to you all.
