Eric V. Clark, 49, of Pendleton, passed away November 2, 2018 at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital in Anderson, Indiana.He was born November 19, 1968 in Lansing, Michigan and was a Pendleton resident since 2006.Eric was employed at Kohl’s Department Store in Westfield and GameStop in Lawrence.He was an avid role player and video gamer.Eric was a 1987 graduate of Everett High School in Lansing and received his associates degree from Lansing Community College.Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lee (Bernhardt) Clark; step-daughter, Leigh A. Montano of Pendleton; step-son, Robert W. Montano of Pendleton; mother, Gayle (Hake) Lacoursier of Okemos, Michigan; siblings, Pamela (Joey) Schmidt of Troy, Michigan, Travis (Becky) Clark, Patty (Earl) Parish and Andy Casler all of Lansing, Michigan; nieces, Claire Scmidt, Tabatha Clark and Fiona Clark; and nephew, Parker Casler.He was preceded in death by his father, Thom Clark; step-father, Russell Lacoursier; brother, Matthew Clark; and first wife, Marjorie Clark.Services will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064. Graveside services and burial will take place at a later date in Ithaca, Michigan.A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.In lieu of flowers memorial contibutions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Million Meal Movement, 9520 Corporation Dr., Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46256

I am guessing Eric and I have been friends for over 25 years. We met through gaming, however the friendship did not stay there.We laughed together a lot. Occasionally shared a cold drink or a meal. It was always a delight to see Eric. His enthusiasm was infectious and we teamed up for a variety up for a variety of capers together.

We chatted through some hard times as well. He told me I had gotten him through some hard times and called me a mentor. I was happy to accept that. Erik will leave an Eric sized hole in a lot of lives. I had plans to see him this March. This March will be a lot harder now.
