


Glenda Sue Eicks, age 82, of Lebanon, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully at home on January 30, 2022, surrounded by her children.She was a loving mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, community leader, and volunteer. Sue loved traveling, reading, playing cards, Red Skelton, and attending plays and movies. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1957 and attended Indiana University Purdue University in Indianapolis. She was an advocate in the prevention of child abuse as evident by her 18 year career from September 14, 1987 to January 5, 2005 with the Children’s Bureau of Indianapolis, and received Employee of the Year service awards in 1991 and 1994. Sue was the first woman member and first woman president of The Exchange Club in Indiana, along with over 25 years of service as an Exchangite, including Indiana District Treasurer. She served two terms as the president of the Senior Service Center in Lebanon, from January 1, 2007 until December 31, 2010. Sue attended St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Lebanon Christian Church in Lebanon, Indiana.Sue is survived by her children: Ray (Stacey) Webb of Kingston, New York, Criss (Jeff) Adams of St. Petersburg, Florida, Susan (Bill Hinkle) Nichols of Lebanon, Stephen (Kim) Webb of Danville, and Sharon (Tim) Charles of Lizton; siblings: Richard (Judy) Lindner of Nashville, Tennesee, John Lamond of Indianapolis, Judy Lett of Carmel, Larry (Zona) Lamond of Indianapolis, and Steve (Dee Dee) Lamond of Carmel; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her special card playing friends.She is preceded in death by her husband: Donald Eicks, Sr.; mother: Mary Lamond; father: Edward Pete Lamond; brother-in-law: Shirley Lett; sister-in-law: Nancy Lamond; and nephews: Larry Dean Lamond, and Chris Davis.A visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, Avon Chapel, 641 North County Road 1050 East, Indianapolis, 46234. The funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
