Harold Eugene Long, 71 years old of New Ross, IN, died Friday, May 4, 2012 in IU Methodist Hospital. He was born March 4, 1941 in Danville, IN, son of the late Russell and Ida Mae Oaks Long. He was a member of the Church of God. Surviving are daughters, Kim Ann Barker of New Ross and Connie (Amos) Jernagan of Crawfordsville, son, Jeffery Allen Long of Lebanon, sister, Barbara (George) Baker of Crawfordsville and Phyllis Mooney, TN, brother, Norman (Geneva) Long of Crawfordsville, sister-in-law, Laurel Long of Jamestown, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Spurlock Long, daughter, Roxanne Beck, 1 great-grandchild and brother, Herbert Long. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 8, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the New Ross Cemetery, New Ross, IN.
