Irvine William Burdine, 88, of Roachdale, IN, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. He was born June 25, 1928 in Rock Castle, KY, son of the late Perry Bill and Nettie Jane (Decker) Burdine. He worked for the Barnard Elevator, the Roachdale Schools and the TDS Telephone Company. Surviving are his daughters, Linda Louise (Edwin) Dildine of Mace, Nancy Earlene (Greg) Bowden of Mooresville, Peggy Ann (Dale) Neiner of Greencastle, sons, Wayne (Pat) Burdine of Roachdale and Danny Edward (Carrie) Burdine of Roachdale, sister, Roxie “Pearl” Barron of Somerset, KY, 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise (Falconbury) Burdine, brothers Everett, Delbert, Willie, Benny, Charlie, Herman “Shorty”, Johnnie and Perry Bill Jr, “Junior”, sisters Geneva, Juanita and Ruth and great-grandson, Mason Dodge Malott. Family and friends will gather Sunday, August 21, 2016, 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roger Popplewell officiating. Irvine will be laid to rest at the Roachdale Cemetery.
