To Pat, Kelly and Chelsea my sincere condolences. Jim was an amazing man and we will all miss him dearly. He was my mentor and taught me a lot about finances and the love of the spread sheet! He had a very dry wit and a huge heart. He also had a love for the history of Genuine Parts Company, and was a wealth of knowledge. He was very proud of his girls. I can remember taking my daughter to see Chelsea riding horses. And Kelly babysat for me when she was younger. Jim had a wonderful family and a wonderful life, be strong in knowing that.

I knew "Robby" in the late '60's early '70's in Grafton. He was a good friend of my boyfriend at the time. We knew him as "Jamie" back then. We became reacquainted in recent years, how I don't recall, but we discovered we were both living in IN now! He laughingly said he'd prefer "Jim' these days, to "Jamie" and I obliged. I inquired of his mother, Jean, and learned that clearing out her art studio was a task at hand at that time. I mentioned I still have some of her pen and ink note cards of Grafton scenes. Jim said he'd see what he could find and possibly send me a color print or two of Grafton scenes....and he did. It was so kind and thoughtful of him, and I remember him as such....and also that he had a great sense of humor. Those prints were handled with care and meticulously matted and framed after I received them in the mail, and they now hold a prominent place in our sun room - including one of the White Church in Grafton, coming from Houghtonville Rd. into the Village. Our farm was in walking distance on that road, and the scene indelible in my mind, so that print is especially prized. My husband and I were married at the White Church 42 years ago, tomorrow, which adds to the honor of having the prints. Before Covid, on a phone call, Jim and I agreed we should meet for coffee and reminisce of our Grafton days and mutual connections there. I'd hoped to meet his wife then. I'm sorry we were unable to arrange to do so. To his whole family, please accept my most since condolences on you loss of a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
