Joseph Godbey

Joseph “Joe” Godbey, 53, of Pendleton, IN passed away at his home on May 1, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on October 15, 1968 to Monte and Peggy (Alford) Godbey in Greenfield, IN. Joe worked in sales for World Wide Motors for a number of years. He was an avid gardener and would spend many hours canning his fresh vegetables. Most importantly, he enjoyed helping others and would drop everything to help someone in need.

Joe will be dearly missed by his husband, Daniel Trauthwein; his father, Monte Godbey; his mother, Peggy (Mel) Kingery; his siblings, Jeff (Amy) Godbey and Julie (Rick) Truscott; his step-siblings, Kirk Hedrick and Nikki Kingery; his aunts and uncles, Bill & Judy Wihebrink, Gary Godbey, and Sandy Alford; the family dog, PMB; and his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. there will be a memorial gathering held at Smith Family Farms, 7055 W 675 S Pendleton, IN 46064.
