Kabelo Fobo was born December 2^nd,2006, in Roma, Lesotho. His life there was spent partially with family and then he was placed at The Ministry of Insured Salvation, a children’s home. He was adopted and moved to the United States in September of 2010 where he became Kabelo (Kabe) Elijah Fobo Reidenbach, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Kabelo enjoyed music, basketball, spending time with friends, soda, and chicken wings. He attended Franklin Central High School, but his freshman year was a difficult one and he was home for much of it.

Kabelo is survived by his mom, Lisa, his dad, Eric, sisters, Grace (Austin) and Mastewal, and brothers, Luke and Bamlak. Also surviving are his grandparents, Terri and Jim Anderson, and Karen Reidenbach. Wendy (Tony) Maple, Jimmy (Ivette) Clinger, Matt (Sue) Reidenbach, Gary (Laura) Reidenbach are his aunts and uncles. He will be missed by cousins Hannah, Reagan, Sarah, Jimmy, Zach, Henry, Aleksey, Allison, Maddie, and Emma, as well as countless friends and teammates.

Whatever the circumstances that surround his death turn out to be, it will never explain or justify its senseless nature. He was a complicated, hurt, and beautiful soul who really loved his family and friends. He was filled with compassion and empathy for animals, people who were less fortunate and those who needed help.

He died May 3^rd, 2022. The holes in the hearts of his loved ones will never be filled. Kabe’s absence will never make sense to anyone that loved him. His beautiful cheeks will never be kissed by any of his family, his mom. Nobody will ever feel his sweet hugs by lanky arms. He will never have a first job, get his driver’s license, or fall in love. He will never get to be a daddy on an uncle. The world has lost an amazing human and he was so loved.

A visitation will be held Wednesday May 11^th 2022 at Wilson St. Pierre – Franklin Township, 5950 E Thompson Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237 from 3 pm – 7 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation.

tomorrow is February 3rd, meaning it will officially be 9 months since Kabe has left us. I think about you every second of every day Kabe, you never deserved this, you always made sure everyone was okay before you worried about yourself but I wish you had just put your feelings first, just for once.

its been 3 months and grief is hard, and your life was taken so so soon. my deepest condolences to his mom and family, my heart hurts for her.

It’s been a month without you man it feels like time hasn’t moved since I miss sitting across from you everyday at lunch makin me laugh and look forward to the end of the day and always walked me to the bus after lunch and laughed with me till it got there lotta love to his family and friends stay strong for him

We are so deeply troubled and grieved over Kabe’s death. The obituary said it so true and powerful that his death was senseless and terrible and unjust. He was a kind boy who sought to make others feel included. Christian will never forget that he was the first friend he made when we moved here from New Mexico. He greeted him with a giant smile and told him he could sit next to him and made him feel included and he excitedly told me about it that day after school. We will all miss him and grieve his death and for the family. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm thinking of everyone who knew and loved him. I'm so sorry that this has happened.

kabe was one of my best friends. we had 7th period together and we would sit in this little corner together and just laugh, watch netflix, and do everything together. i miss him so much. i’m praying for his family.

We will forever miss our morning routine of Kabe walking by our yard every morning to catch the bus. Wishing you and your family peace and comfort in the way that only God can provide.

I remember when we first meet. It was in 8th grade in language. The more you talked to me the more u became like a brother to me. One of my favorite memories is at the end of 8th grade and we had a project to do. You was the only dude but you made the best of it. Every-time I was upset, confused, mad, didn’t really know what to do. You was there to help me through it. You would always make sure I’m doing good in school, sports, and in life. You would always check up on me to. I will never forget you kabe. You will be missed. Fly high and make the sky pretty for us.

When Terri called and told what had happened I was so heartbroken at work that night I was only able to work 6 hours. He was such a great young man and so special to you all . I wish I had time to get to know him but that has taken away from all who would loved him . I am praying for everyone may the peace of god dwell in your hearts.
