Kevin Albert Mattingly born June 14, 1949, Indianapolis, Indiana, died June 15,2013 Danville, Indiana. Preceded in death by father Kevin Albert Mattingly and mother Katherine Koch. Married to Donna Kay (Stewart) October 4, 1997 at St. Gabriel, Indianapolis, Indiana. Survived by wife, Donna Kay Matttingly, children Christina Sue Adams (Brian), Brandi Leigh Correa (Jeremiah), and son-by-choice, Michael Logan Fox; grandchildren Lilyann Louise Adams, Sarah Grace Adams, Nathaniel Luke Adams, Kendall Leigh Correa, Madelynn Kay Correa, brother Mark Mattingly (Suzanne), sister Susie Baker (Billy) and several nieces and nephews. Member of North Salem Christian Church, member of the NRA and long-time member of the Buzzards of Indiana. Graduated from Vincennes University and worked as an A&P mechanic for 50 years . He was an Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America and ranked as a Firecrafter. He also served as a volunteer fireman and EMT. He lost his eyesight in 1987 but worked the last 20 years of his career for American Trans Air. He retired in 2006. He had a passion for God and his country. He was an avid stillboard shooter even after losing his eyesight. His motto was “adapt, improvise and overcome”. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and family man. Calling at Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana Tuesday, June 18 4-8 p.m., service at North Salem Christian Church Wednesday, June 19 at 1 p.m. and burial follows at Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
