Laverne Sue (Keller) Woodard, 74 years old of Jamestown, IN, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Danville Regional Rehab Center. She was born March 22, 1936 in Fountain County, IN, daughter of the late Jessie Franklin Keller, Sr. and Edna Viola Riley Keller. She married Edgar E. Woodard on September 17, 1955 in Danville, IL. Laverne was a loving and devoted homemaker, Mother and “Nan”. She was God loving and a servant to others. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Danville, IN. She taught Sunday School for 30 years and Wednesday night Bible study. She was the 2010 winner of the “Billie Davis Award for Excellence” which is the district “Teacher of the Year Award for Indiana”. Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth (Beth) Hall of Crawfordsville, Sue Ann (Mike) Rutan and Connie (Greg) Fairchild both of Jamestown, son, Brad (Lisa) Woodard of Marshall, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, special niece, Marsha Kratzer of Broomfield, CO, and 2 best friends, Freda Farley of North Salem and Hazel Carlton of Lizton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar E. Woodard, 2 infant children, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Friends will be received Friday, July 16, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
