Louise (Matson) Gordon, 85, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, danced into heaven Monday, June 11, 2012 from her home in Fort Wayne, IN. Louise is the mother of Jay D. (Diane) Gordon of St. Charles, MO and Jana K. (Robert) Powell of Yoder, IN. She is the grandmother of Kim R. Gordon (Michael Jack) of Danville, CA and Jason R. (Kelly) Gordon of Walnut Ck., CA and step-grandmother of Kurt R. (Cindy) Powell of Craigville, IN. In addition, she is survived by great-grandchildren Luca and Caelan Jack, Crystal (Powell) Perkins and Alex Meyers. She and Julian F. (Buzz) Gordon were married Sept 21, 1945 in Elletsville, IN and lived in Indianapolis until 1999. Buzz preceded her in death in June 2000. Louise was a talented artist of various media including knitting, stitching, oil painting and photography. She made exceptionally good pies and cookies and always fed her family with good food and love. She retired from the Indianapolis Postal Employee Credit Union and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem, Indiana on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Services arranged by Porter Funeral Home, North Salem and conducted by Pastor Ann Spahr of North Salem United Methodist Church. The family will host a lunch at a restaurant in Avon following the service and invite family & friends to join them as their guests.
