I was Megs caregiver for three years and later I helped her after I no longer worked in the community. I learned to make corn 8 minutes with husks on in the microwave. I always loved her smile and how she was so thankful for me visiting with her. I often visited with her before going to work at Panera. I would read to her and give her a hug. My heart and prayers go for her family and caregivers. She was a joy and I was honored to be a part of her 100th birthday party.

Ms. Meg was not only a resident where I am employed but more than that she was my friend. She has been such an inspiration to me with her loving and driven spirit, her history and most of all her love of God which we shared so many stories about. Oh and she was the History teacher that God saved for me especially since it was the one subject that I hated in school, however, with her experiences and story telling passion how could I not become fond of the subject. I am blessed to have known her and she will forever remain in my heart.

Meg Julien was one of the first people I met in Zionsville. She was wise,, kind and enthusiastic, a true force for good. She encouraged me to join Tri Kappa and modeled community service. She will be truly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have a chance to know her. My heartfelt condolences to her family and all who loved her.

Just heard about the passing of Mrs. Julien, who was a librarian for decades in Zionsville. A truly inspiring public servant, Mrs Julien encouraged in me a love of reading and libraries. Every time I came into Hussey Library in the 1980s she always had a smile for me and kind words. I also enjoyed when she would read to my elementary school classes. Years ago my stepfather did some work for her and told her that little Jimi was now working for the Library of Congress and that pleased her greatly. Thank you Mrs Julien, your life is an inspiration.

I remember Mrs. Julien from Eagle Elementary. She was always enthusiastic about her job as our librarian . My mom, Nancy Barnes, was one of her volunteers later at Pleasant View Elementary and enjoyed working with her there. I’m sorry for this loss. Kelly (Barnes) Brown ZCHS Class of 1986
