Marie Moreland

Marie Moreland, 85 years old of North Salem, IN, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Hendricks Regional Health. She was born February 21, 1925 in North Salem, IN, daughter of Foster E. and Lola Vera Wood Stewart. She attended North Salem High School. She married Warren Moreland on August 7, 1942. He survives. She co-owned, along with her husband, Moreland Farm Service and Supply Co from 1939-1990. Marie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She loved nature and was an avid animal lover. Surviving are her son, Dave (Debbie) Moreland of North Salem, sister, Sue (Mike) Smith of Danville, grandson, David Warren Moreland of North Salem and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster & Lola Stewart and sisters, Dorothy Hall, Jean Hinshaw and Marilyn Blackmore. Friends will be received Friday, March 12, 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with John D. Gossett and Rodger Ward officiating.
