It was with great sadness that I read today about Mark's recent passing. . My husband Rod, and I have many fond memories of spending time with Mark and his lovely wife, Kathy. Kathy and Mark were still newlyweds when we first met them at Asbury United Methodist Church where we both attended. For a time, we were Jr. High Youth leaders together. One special memory includes the time when we traveled together with our youth group to Eureka, Arkansas to seeing famous Passion Play there on the infamous Night Crawler. We spent many happy times together and even though we moved often, we always kept in touch with Mark and Kathy. Nearly every year, Rod and Mark kept the tradition of calling each other on their birthdays. It was easy to remember both of their birthdays, because they shared the same birthday! Mark and Kathy were such an upbeat, fun loving, and fun to be around couple. I was always inspired by their home and craft projects. Mark and Kathy were such a talented couple! Even though we had moved away from Columbus by the time Mark and Kathy had their second son, Nicholas, we managed to visit each other's homes throughout the years and always enjoyed lots of laughter and fun when we were together. I hope to stay in touch with Kathy and I will pray for her in the days, weeks, and times to come. I am glad that Mark is no longer suffering and is in paradise with his Savior, Jesus Christ, but he will be missed by so many who loved him. With deepest sympathy, Rod and Julie Tipton
