Martha “June” Zirkle, 89, of Anderson passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Brandywine Nursing home in Greenfield after an automobile accident.

She was born on April 4, 1933, in Markleville, to the late Robert and Stella (Walker) Young.

 

June retired from Delco Remy in Anderson after 46 years of service as a Quality Control operator.  She was a member of the Local #662, and The Lutheran Church of our Blessed Savior.  She loved traveling, puzzles, reading, Pacer and Colts games and flower gardening, bur her true love was her family and grandkids sporting events.

 

Survivors include two daughters; Karen (John) Wichman of Greenfield and Susan (Mike) Driskill of New Castle, grandchildren; Jamie (Brad) Manning of Indianapolis, Chris (Anne) Martin of Anderson, Joe (Britney) Wichman of Fishers, great grandchildren; Zachary, Braden, Ava, Mya, Clara and Ella.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max Zirkle, three sisters and three brothers.

 

Services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Condo and St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory in Wilkinson with burial following at McCray Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Dear Family of June Zirkle, I fondly remember June and your family at Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Indiana. June served so faithfully for so many years. Her organizing of the Potato Feast, funeral dinners, Easter Breakfasts and other meals for our church family will never be forgotten. Loved her deviled eggs and so many other dishes. She worked tirelessly preparing the sanctuary for worship, changing banners, filling candles with oil, decorating for Christmas, Easter and other services.
