Michael Carroll Martin, 79, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022.

He was born September 14, 1942, in Kokomo to the late, Myron C. & Carol (Bowers) Martin. Michael graduated from Purdue University where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi & a Big Ten golf champion.  He went on to own and operate Mike Martin Shoes/ Hoyt Wright. He was a member & past president of the Edgewood Country Club. He was also a past manager & board member for the Seacrest Apartments in Sarasota.

Michael is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jill (Vaught) Martin; children, Shelley (Kirk) Herod; Robin (John) Throckmorton, & Natalie (Ed) Parrish; grandchildren, Austin (Devin) Herod, Dylan (Courtney) Herod, Connor Herod, Tyler Throckmorton, Emily Throckmorton, Taylor (Alex) Shaffer, & Chandler Parrish; great-grandchildren, Brooks & Cayson Herod, with one on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be at 5pm Friday, July 29th, at The Edge, 519 Golf Club Road, Anderson, IN 46011.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
