Robert (Rob) Jennings Strich 61, Indianapolis, passed into eternal life on July 18, 2022. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Kim, his three daughters, Nicole (Thomas) Faulkner, Melissa (Daniel) Loudermilk, and Samantha Strich (Austin Caylor), two granddaughters Kayleigh and Sadie Faulkner, siblings Rae Lynn (Wayne) Kennett, Ron (Donna) and Randy (Katrina) Strich, and several nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Iva Strich.

Rob enjoyed being a gardener, woodworker, antique fanatic, master of the smoker and connoisseur of Maker’s Mark. He loved 70s rock, finding a great deal, and ending his days with a strong toddy. He knew how to fix, create, source, or find anything. Rob is remembered by many for his kindness and sense of humor. He was loyal and loving beyond measure and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 125 West Sycamore St., Zionsville, on Monday, July 25th from 11am – 1pm with a memorial service beginning at 1pm.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.

One of Rob’s passions was serving the Lutheran Hills Camp Outdoor Ministry by volunteering his time to building and maintaining the camp facilities. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to  Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Indiana-Kentucky in his memory.

I knew Rob from working with him at TRIMEDX through Fusion. Rob was always a kind-hearted man who loved his truck and was good at producing SQL queries as part of his job. I remember the time he had his truck stolen in broad daylight from the TRIMEDX parking lot while at work. It was recovered later, but that was so bizarre. I truly liked Rob and was sad when his contract at TRIMEDX was done. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to help you. I was particularly dismayed to hear that he had passed. I just recently found that out and that's why I'm just now posting. Rest in peace, Rob. You will be missed.
