



























































Nina Marie Goins, age 86, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away surrounded by her “babies” on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Community Hospital South. Nina was born on April 25, 1931 in Indianapolis to Forest Emerson English and Evelena Elizabeth (Hill) English. She was the youngest and the only girl of three children. She attended Southport High School and later went on to work for Conrail Railroad as a clerk for over 27 years. On January 10, 1948, she married the love of her life, James Goins. Jim preceded her in death in July of 2016. Nina was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis and a member of the NARBW (National Association of Railroad Business Women). Nina loved to crochet and was also quite technology savvy. But most of all, she loved her family dearly. She always referred to them as her “babies”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Gary Goins (Jeanette) of Needham; Kevin Goins (Sherri) of Indianapolis; Sharon Allen (Lee) of Indianapolis; and Sandy Glomski (Dale) of Rochester, MN; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Nina was preceded in death by her husband of 68 ½ years, Jim Goins; and two brothers Lowell and Leo English.Visitation for Mrs. Goins will be held on Sunday evening, June 4, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Services & Crematory, Sterling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Monday morning, June 5, at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Rocklane Cemetery in Greenwood.
