Paul Andrew Mikus, of Indianapolis passed away at his home on Monday, March 6, 2023. He was 72 years old. Paul was born to the late Peter J. and Mildred O. (Farmer) Mikus on July 27, 1950, in Indianapolis. He was a loving and dedicated husband to Mollie Jo Mikus who preceded him in death. Paul was a life long Indiana public school educator as a teacher, administrator, and mentor. He was named Sagamore of the Wabash by the late Governor Robert D. Orr. His pride and joy were his two sons, and his two grandchildren. Paul loved attending sporting events and activities of all kinds for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cheering on the Cubs, Bears, and Hoosiers. He loved a good laugh, a great meal, and was truly a wizard at arcade claw games.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Ryan A. Mikus and his wife Natasha of Indianapolis, and Shawn A. Mikus of Chicago. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his two grandchildren Abigail and Andrew Mikus.
Services for Paul A. Mikus are Friday, March 10 at 12:30 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel with visitation from 11:30 am until time of service. Friends and family will gather on Thursday, March 9 from 4-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest following the service at Calvary Cemetery.
