Priscilla “Chris” Lynn Kauffman, 75, of Pendleton, passed away September 13, 2023 at the Rawlins House in Pendleton.

She was born June 24, 1948 in Muncie, Indiana and was a Pendleton resident the past 12 years.

Chris was a homemaker and a mother. She had been a computer specialist for both IBM and EDS Corporations for several years. Chris was a 1966 graduate of Greenfield High School and was very involved with FTIA Adoption Agency.

Survivors include her nine children, William Shane Easton, Ryan Easton, Neil Kauffman, Leigh Kauffman, Madison Kauffman, Camryn Kauffman, Braden Kauffman, Aidan Kauffman and Zander Kauffman; siblings, Pamela Roe, Daniel Williams and Robin Hodnett; six grandchildren; a great grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Dan and Celina Mae (Wheeldon) Williams; and a sister, Sharon Miller.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton with Chaplain Ken Cavanagh officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.

Visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Lahm Chapel.

In memory of Chris, contributions may be made to the family with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Dear family members of Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Chris when we were classmates at Greenfield high school. Chris moved to Greenfield when we were sophomores. She and I became friends almost immediately. We sat together in most classes because the seating arrangement was usually alphabetical (William & Walker). She participated in almost every extra curricular club that was offered. Chris was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a cheerleader, which I always admired. My husband and I moved to the Chicago area after college. After 40 years we returned to Indiana. I reconnected with Chris on the phone and tried to get together with her. She wan't able to make it. The last part of Chris's life was very difficult for her and all of you. Ironically, I live in Britton Falls and got to know Pam though golf. I tried to call her, but learned that she had moved. My heart goes out to you, Pam. I grieve along with all of Chris's family. It is comforting to know that Chris is finally at peace. With sympathy, Jill Walker Young
