When I meet Rex at aero engine controls, I was fresh out of grad school and unfamiliar with practical engineering. He taught me how to trouble shoot a harness and rewire it in a pinch. He taught me grounding and other practicalities you don't just learn in school. I appreciated this hands on get it done attitude/instruction and many others did as well. He has been sorrily missed since his retirement and will be fondly remember by all who worked with him. Although this is a small condolence, please take heart in that thousands of individuals both civilian and service men & women make it home alive every day because of his efforts and this will continue for decades to come through the training and mentorship he provided to those around him.

I met Rex throught work and after work activities , and will always remember his wit and smile. Mary met Morgan through church moms. We all will know each other through the love and grace of Christ. John 3:16. God bless.

For Rex’s family: I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you at this time of mourning. Rex was one of the first people I met when I joined Rolls-Royce. He was a welcoming and helpful friend during my first days at the company. Rex left wonderful memories for me, and I am sure, for all the people he worked with.
