Robert S. Preston

Robert S Preston, 67 years old of North Salem, IN, went to be with the Lord peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. He was born May 20, 1943 in Danville, KY, son of the late Allen and Dellen Summers Preston. He was a member of Roachdale Masonic Lodge. Robert is a retired quad axle driver from Milestone. He also worked in the body shop business and for Morelands Farm Service. He had been a member of the Roachdale Fire Department and was on the Roachdale town board. He liked NASCAR, his garage and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Diane Preston, daughter, Nikki Preston of Roachdale, the love of his life, Kathy Frederick, brother, Ben Preston of Roachdale, sister, Betty Hart of Roachdale, grandsons, Jake Preston, Jackson Frederick, Luke Frederick, Calob Frederick, and Jacob Frederick, several sisters-in law and brothers-in law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Preston, and sister, Marcia Stewart. Friends will be received Friday, December 17, 2010 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 18, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with the service following at 1:00 p.m. at the North Salem Christian Church, North Salem, Indiana with John D.
