Ronald E. Barker, 82, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at his residence.

He was born January 26, 1940, in Anderson to the late Gene & Grace (Shipley) Barker. Ronald worked for the State Highway Department as a machine operator.  He was a past member of the Eagles Club and a member of Elm Grove Christian Church. He loved to be around family and friends, and rarely met a stranger.

Ronald is survived by his children, Kevin (wife, Dawn) Barker, Shannon Barker, & Michael (wife, Margaret) Barker; grandchildren, Taylor, Jarod, Brock, Alivia, & Alayna; great granddaughter, McKinley; brother, Jack (wife, Marilyn) Barker; sister, Barbara Jones; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded by his brother, Larry Barker.

Services will be at 1 pm Friday, July 8, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
