Vivian Childress

Vivian (Arthur) Childress passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her home in Advance, Indiana in the presence of her family and friends. She was born October 5, 1948 in Ano, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Rothel And Bertha Wells Arthur. She is survived by her husband, Ray Childress of Advance, son, Timothy Childress and wife, Julie of Advance, daughter, Kimberly Martin and husband Greg of Jamestown and Shelby Childers of Brownsburg, granddaughter Erika Carter of Jamestown, grandson, Gage Carter of Jamestown, great-grandson, Breccan Conwell, sisters, Carolyn Hyden, Valerie Taylor both of Somerset, KY, Sharon Dalton of Nancy, KY, Pam Hibbard of London, KY and special sister, Marilyn Ritchardson of Advance. Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Rothel (Doc) Arthur, Jr. Family and friends will gather Thursday, September 4, 2014, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Advance Community Christian Church, Advance, IN. A visitation will also be held Friday, September 5, 3:30-6:30 p.m.at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky. A graveside sunset service will follow at the Wells Cemetery in Ano, Kentucky with Rev. Rick Lawson officiating.
