“Yesterday God called our perfect baby boy home. We are completely heartbroken and do not know how we will heal. Walker was the happiest baby we’ve ever met. He loved to smile at his mommy and daddy. He was very talkative 2-month-old. We don’t understand why this happened us. Or why it happens to anyone. All we know is that we would much rather be woken up at night to comfort him/feed him/change him than to wake up to look in his empty bed hoping it was a bad dream and him be there. Sleeping with his blanket is not the same as his bed being next to us with him in it. Now it’s just empty next to us. We love you, Walker Thomas. More than you could’ve ever known.”
Walker is survived by his mommy and daddy. Courtney Mangrum and Jon Jones; grandparents: Christopher and April Ashley, Beverly, and Matthew Mangrum; great grandparents: Kenneth Moore, Dorothy Mangrum, Wayne Burns and Joyce Perkins; Godmother, Mackenzie Stewart; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Walker was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Karla Moore, Cathryn Burns and Donald “Duck” Mangrum.
