Family-owned businesses, such as St. Pierre Family Funeral, build their reputation by delivering on their promises. For the Wilson St. Pierre family, this means surpassing expectations as we serve our neighbors in Indianapolis, Greenwood, Anderson, and Pendleton.
Our family has owned and operated Wilson St. Pierre for more than 122 years. We realize our neighbors throughout the Indianapolis area trust our expert staff to walk alongside them during some of life’s most difficult times. We listen and we care, and our decades of professional experience help us highlight your loved one’s unique personality at the funeral and help you heal afterwards.
Our legacy of service started in 1897 when J.C. Wilson founded a funeral home in Greenwood, IN. Robert R. St. Pierre, a fourth-generation funeral director, managed the business for several years before purchasing the company in 1964. Robert’s son, Michael, joined the family firm in 1969. His brother, Steven, followed suit in 1973. When Robert died in 1977, his sons took over the firm. Today, the sixth generation of St. Pierre funeral directors serves alongside them.
Through the years, our entire family has worked diligently to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. We’ve added several convenient locations throughout Indianapolis and Central Indiana to better serve you. In 1993, we opened the Greater South Side Crematory. Today, our on-site crematory offers you complete peace of mind knowing your loved one never leaves our care.
Throughout our deep-rooted history, families trust us to arrange every detail of their burial or cremation with excellence. They know we’re here to help with the 100+ decisions that come into play when planning a funeral. From writing a eulogy or obituary, to planning a reception, to coping in the weeks and months after the funeral, generations of our family have helped our neighbors pay tribute to their loved ones.
We know details matter, and that’s why we do everything possible to make sure to offer our neighbors every assistance with a personal touch. If you’re thinking about putting your own funeral plans in place, we can help you plan ahead and answer any of the questions you might have to explore all your options.
From beginning to end, our family provides full care and attention, so you can focus on what matters most in life: your own family. Contact us today with questions, or to learn more about our preplanning services and all the ways we can help you. The journey of life is something to celebrate – and the Wilson St. Pierre family is here for you every step of the way.
