Danny D. Gilpin

Danny D. Gilpin 68, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away May 25, 2019. He was born on October 24, 1950 to the late Donald S. Gilpin and the late Dorothy B. (Foley) Gilpin-Cunningham of Russell Springs, KY.He retired from General Devices Co. in 2009. Much of his free time over the years was spent in family-oriented activities. His favorite memories with the family involved hunting, fishing, camping, travelling in the motor home, taking the boat out on the lake, and spending time at the family cabin. Danny was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeanne (Bowman) Gilpin, two daughters, Laurie (Richard) Reidy, Beth (Matthew) Adams, a son, Jeffrey (Belynda) Gilpin; eleven grandchildren, Nathaniel Reidy, Quinten (Emily) Reidy, Joshua Reidy, Benjamin Reidy, Jack Reidy, Abigail Reidy, James Adams, Madalynn Adams, Lee Adams, Justin Gilpin, Tyler (Abigail) Gilpin, one great-grandchild, Ryder Gilpin, a brother, Donald (Debra) Gilpin, and a sister, Patsy Coburn. Danny was loved and will be missed dearly.Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30 from 11:00 am to 1:00 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Franklin Township Chapel. A celebration of Danny’s life will begin at 1:00 at the funeral home. Danny will be laid to rest in Orchard Hill Cemetery.
