Donna Sue Thomas

Donna Sue Thomas, 87, of Shirley, IN passed away peacefully at her home on May 12, 2022, surrounded by her family. Donna was born on June 19, 1934 in Shirley, IN to the late, John and Gladys (Markle) Kellum. Donna married the love of her life, Richard Thomas, whom she met in elementary school, on August 11, 1951. They were married for 70 years before his passing. She was a beautician for over 20 years and ran everything out of her home in Shirley. Donna was a Christian woman and loved spreading the Word of God to anyone who would listen. She loved the beach and her flowers. Most importantly, Donna loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna will be dearly missed by her children, Jeff (Marsha) Thomas and Sally Miller; her grandchildren, Brody Thomas, Samantha Tutrow, Bobbie Jo Winebrenner, Missy Miller, and Deanne Caudill; her great-grandchildren, Keeley Thomas, Dayne Thomas, Cooper Thomas, Macey Dye, Ben Tutrow, Sofia Tutrow, Macy Winebrenner, Addy Winebrenner, Luke Mattix, Olivia Mattix, Maddie Sitton, and Michael Sitton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; her great-grandchild, CJ Caudill; 5 sisters; and 1 brother.

The graveside ceremony will be on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, Indiana. For all those who would like to pay their respects to Donna, the family would like to invite you to the graveside ceremony on Monday.
