Janice Arlene Williams, 80, of Shirley, passed away on June 30, 2022 at Greenfield Healthcare Center. She was born on October 26, 1941 in Buford, Ohio to the late Orland and Mae Fern (Cornette) Miller.
Janice was a homemaker and Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service for 18 years. She was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ, Tri Kappa of Knightstown and served on the National Board of Pork Producers. Janice was active on the family farm from childhood until she retired from raising purebred Yorkshire hogs. She and her husband won many awards and were recognized nationally for promoting the pork industry. She supported her children and grandchildren throughout their 4-H careers.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Williams, Kathy (Sam) Sparks of Shirley; grandchildren, Charles (Tabatha) Sparks, Russell Sparks; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathaniel Sparks; brothers, Daryle (Becky) Miller, Randy (Angel) Miller; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews survive.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Williams and a brother, Merrill Miller.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 130 S. Main St., Wilkinson, IN 46186 with Pastor Tony Darling officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
