Penni Lou Tutrow

Penni Lou (Marine) Tutrow passed away from a brief illness on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, IN, surrounded by her family.  Penni was born on December 24, 1962, in Rushville, Indiana, to Richard Marine and Shirley (Isaacs) Spegal.

Penni loved going places and spending time with her best friend, Kevin.   She loved to paint (we were all so happy to receive her beautiful paintings as gifts). She was an enthusiastic shopper and would visit each and every aisle of the store, looking for a good deal, and then driving around and passing out her gifts to her loved ones. Penni really enjoyed her flowers, especially wildflowers.  She loved and was totally devoted to her kids. She enjoyed spending time and going on trips with her sisters, either in person or as “Flat Penni”.  But above all, Penni adored spending time with her grandkids, whether it was shopping, painting, or just riding around.  Penni was most recently employed at Ben’s Bar, Shirley. She was also employed many years at the Gas Grill Family Restaurant in Knightstown.

Penni is survived by her best friend and companion Kevin Jones; children Christa (Joe) Spoon, Daniel (Lacy) Tutrow, Andrew Tutrow, Kristill (Clayton) Stowers and Hannah (Jason) Stegner; grandchildren Angeline (Bryan), Tyla, Lexi, Joey, Zane, Dylan, Korbin, Alaina, Aaiden, Maisyn, Corbin, Caston and Clark; and great-grandchildren Jakoby, Aria, Brystol and Conley.  Other survivors include her sisters Kim (David) Bright, Lori (David) Kinder, Wendi (Brian) Ratliff and Juli (Jim) Alberts and her brother, Rich Marine; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; stepmother Pam Marine; and stepfather Paul Spegal.

Penni was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents (Ernest and Mabel Marine, and Leslie and Haley Isaacs).

Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., at Condo-St. Pierre Funeral Home in Wilkinson, IN, with Pastor Bob Lines officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shirley Nazarene Church in Penni’s memory.
